Más informaciónLiving with plaque psoriasis can be frustrating — not just because of the daily physical discomfort but also the ongoing search for treatments that work for you without causing additional issues. For patients in the UK looking for new options, one treatment generating attention is Zoryve (roflumilast cream).
But is Zoryve available in the UK? And what can patients do if it's not yet accessible through the NHS? Below, we answer these questions and explain all your options for accessing the medicine now.
What is the new cream for psoriasis?
Zoryve is the brand name for roflumilast cream, a non-steroid topical treatment for plaque psoriasis. Zoryve was first approved by the FDA in the USA in 2022. It is specifically designed to treat mild to moderate plaque psoriasis, including sensitive areas like the face, elbows, knees, and intimate regions 1.
Is Zoryve approved for eczema?
In addition to plaque psoriasis, roflumilast cream is also FDA-approved for treating atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children aged 6 and up 2.
How does Zoryve help psoriasis?
The active ingredient, roflumilast, is a PDE4 inhibitor (phosphodiesterase-4 inhibitor). By blocking the PDE4 enzyme, roflumilast reduces inflammation in the skin, helping to ease symptoms like redness, itching, and scaling.
As a non-steroidal cream, Zoryve is also well-suited for long-term use 3.
Is Zoryve available in the UK?
As of March 2025, not yet. Zoryve (roflumilast cream) does not have EMA approval yet, either. This unfortunately means that it's unlikely to become available to patients in the UK any time soon.
Theoretically, if Zoryve were to get MHRA approval now, it would still require an assessment by NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) to determine if it would be included on the NHS. This assessment can itself take months. If the NICE assessment is positive, then roflumilast cream could become available on the NHS within three months after the NICE decision. Even within this theoretical timeline, Zoryve would still take months to become available in the UK.
However, patients in the UK have options other than waiting.
Can patients in the UK access Zoryve now?
Even though Zoryve isn’t yet approved in the UK or available through the NHS, UK patients can access it right away via the Named Patient Access scheme. This program exist to help people with serious or unmet medical needs obtain medicines from outside their country — especially if the medicine isn't available locally yet.
If you and your doctor decide that roflumilast cream is the right option for you, and no equivalent treatments are available in the UK, you can buy and import Zoryve immediately. The only thing you need to get started is a prescription.

However, to give you an idea of the cost of Zoryve treatment, one tube of 60g (0.3% roflumilast) currently costs around GBP 560 4.
